Location: Sandys Street, Chatham, ON
On Friday, July 17, 2026, at approximately 19:25 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service were dispatched to the area of Sandys Street in Chatham for reports of a disturbance taking place.
Police attended and located a male and a female party engaged with a verbal dispute between one another.
Through investigation police learned both parties were currently wanted before the courts.
As a result, a 39-year-old Chatham male was arrested on the strength of a warrant for fail to attend court. The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held for bail.
As 38-year-old Chatham woman was also arrested on the strength of a warrant for fail to attend court. She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where she was released on an undertaking with a future court date of October 19, 2026.

Impaired – CK26052689
Date: July 18, 2026, 20:10 hrs
Location: Poplar Street, Chatham, ON
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, at approximately 20:10 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service were dispatched to the area of Poplar Street in Chatham for a vehicle complaint. Police attended the area and located the subject vehicle. Police observed the driver of the vehicle travelling on the wrong side of the road. As a result, a traffic stop was initiated.
Through investigation, police formed grounds to believe the driver of the motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
As a result, a 58-year-old Chatham woman was arrested for:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80+
The accused was then transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where she was released on an undertaking with a future court date of August 26, 2026.

Location: Victoria Street, Blenheim, ON
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, at approximately 07:42 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service were dispatched to the area of Victoria Street in Blenheim for reports of a male party entering unlocked vehicles and removing items.
Through investigation police observed a male who is known to police entering unlocked vehicles on Victoria Street. The male party then removed several items.
As a result, a 44-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was released on an undertaking with a future court date of October 14, 2026.
