Trespass to Property Act – CK26052014
Date: July 16, 2026, 0901hrs Location: McNaughton Avenue, Wallaceburg
On July 16, 2026, at approximately 0901hrs, a male failed to leave a McNaughton Avenue business when directed. Police were contacted and arrested a 30-year-old Windsor male.
The male was removed from the premise and released once he was off the property.
He was also issued a Provincial Offences Notice under the Trespass to Property Act.
Mischief – CK26052076
Date: July 16, 2026, 1239hrs Location: King Street, Chatham
On July 16, 2026, at approximately 1239hrs, police received a report of a male urinating into a container owned by a King Street business.
The male had been trespassed from the area for harassing staff in the past.
At the time, the male was bound by a Probation Order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
As a result, a 52-year-old Chatham-Kent male was arrested for the following offences:
- Mischief
- Fail to Comply With Probation Order
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
Break and Enter – CK26052152
Date: July 16, 2026, 1805hrs Location: Main Street, Wallaceburg
On July 16, 2026, at approximately 1805hrs, police were dispatched to an address on Main Street regarding a break-and-enter.
A male and a female were witnessed entering a boarded-up residence.
The female fled upon police arrival; however, the male was located inside.
The male was on conditions not to communicate with the female.
A 36-year-old Wallaceburg male was arrested for:
- Forcible Entry
- Unlawfully in a Dwelling House
- Fail to Comply With Release Order
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
Failure to Comply With Undertaking (IPV) – CK26052170
Date: July 16, 2026, 1934hrs Location: Chatham
On July 16, 2026, at approximately 1934hrs, police were contacted after it was discovered that a male had been contacting a female through social media. The male was on conditions not to communicate with the female.
As a result, a 19-year-old Chatham male was arrested for Failure to Comply With Undertaking.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
Assault (IPV) – CK26052196
Date: July 16, 2026, 2325hrs Location: Chatham
On July 16, 2026, at approximately 2325hrs, police were contacted regarding a disturbance.
Investigation revealed that a female had punched a male in the face while he was sleeping.
As a result, a 45-year-old Chatham female was arrested for Assault.
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of August 25, 2026.
Mischief Over $5,000 – CK26052206
Date: July 17, 2026, 0026hrs Location: Talbot Street, Wheatley
On July 17, 2026, at approximately 0026hrs, police were dispatched after a male smashed a window with a metal bar.
Police attended and arrested a 39-year-old Chatham-Kent male for Mischief Over $5,000.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a future court date.
