Break and Enter – CK26050826
Date: July 12, 2026, 0612hrs Location: McGregor Place, Chatham
On July 12, 2026, at approximately 0612hrs, police were contacted after a witness noted a male exiting a Chatham business that had not yet opened for the day.
Upon arrival, officers noted an open exterior door with damage to the latch.
Police located a male matching the description provided by the witness.
While attempting to place the male under arrest, he pulled away and pushed officers.
During a search incident to arrest, officers located an open collapsable knife.
Investigation revealed that the male was on conditions not to possess weapons.
As a result, a 26-year-old Chatham male faces the following charges:
- Break and Enter a Place Other Than a Dwelling-House with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Resist Peace Officer
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
Forcible Confinement (IPV) – CK26050788
Date: July 12, 2026, 0106hrs Location: Chatham
On July 12, 2026, at approximately 0106hrs, police were dispatched to a Chatham residence regarding a dispute.
Investigation revealed that a male had locked the door to the residence and proceeded to pin a female down to prevent her from leaving, in addition to spitting on her several times.
Police arrested a 21-year-old Chatham male for:
- Forcible Confinement
- Assault
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released on a Form 10 with a court date of August 20, 2026.
Uttering Threats (IPV) – CK26050600
Date: July 11, 2026, 0808hrs Location: Tilbury
On July 11, 2026, at approximately 0808hrs, police were dispatched to a Tilbury address regarding a dispute.
Investigation revealed that a male threatened to chop off a female’s head.
As a result, a 37-year-old Wheatley male was arrested for two counts of Uttering Threats.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of August 19, 2026.
Assault Bodily Harm (IPV) – CK26050688
Date: July 11, 2026, 1639hrs Location: Chatham
On July 11, 2026, at approximately 1639hrs, police were dispatched to a Chatham residence regarding a dispute.
Investigation revealed that a male had choked a female.
A 39-year-old Chatham male was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Harm – Choking.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.

Date: July 11, 2026, 1809hrs Location: Chatham
On July 11, 2026, at approximately 1809hrs, police were dispatched to a Chatham residence regarding a dispute.
Investigation revealed that a male had thrown a female to the ground, after which she was choked.
A 24-year-old Chatham male was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Harm – Choking.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
Liquor Licence and Control Act – CK26050562 and CK26050571
Date: July 10, 2026, 0250hrs Location: King Street, Chatham
On July 10, 2026, at approximately 0250hrs, while on focused patrol on King Street, police located two males intoxicated in a public place.
A 21-year-old Chatham male and a 20-year-old Chatham male were arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and lodged until sober.
Both were issued Provincial Offences Notices.
