Date: January 28, 2026, Time: 10:27 hrs., Location: Murray Street, Wallaceburg
On January 28, 2026, at approximately 10:27hrs, Chatham Kent Police Service responded to a reported incident of intimate partner violence on Murray Street, Wallaceburg.
Upon arrival, it was determined that the man had engaged in a confrontation with his girlfriend, during which he drove his truck over the curb and struck her. Fortunately, the victim sustained no injuries as a result of the incident.
The 56-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with Dangerous Driving and Assault with a Weapon. He was transported to police headquarters and later released under a Form 10 with conditions and a future court date.

On January 28, 2026, at approximately 14:10hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service Bail Compliance Officers arrested a woman in Sarnia following a breach of her court-imposed release conditions.
The woman had previously been arrested on May 1, 2025, and charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. After a court appearance on May 30, 2025, she was released under a Form 11 Release Order, which included several conditions, notably prohibiting her from attending specific addresses and requiring her to remain in her residence except for court appearances.
On January 22, 2026, the woman was required to attend Criminal Court in Chatham. Despite being monitored by Recovery Science Corporation, she failed to comply with the conditions of her release, making stops at locations where she was prohibited from attending.
Following reports from Recovery Science, the Chatham-Kent Police were dispatched to investigate. While officers were unable to locate the accused immediately, she was subsequently found and arrested at her residence in Sarnia.
The 49-year-old Sarnia woman was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where she is currently being held pending a bail hearing. She has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Date: January 28, 2026, Time: 18:06 hrs., Location: Lowe Street, Chatham
On January 28, 2026, at approximately 18:06hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a neighbour dispute on Lowe St., Chatham.
Officers learned a man and woman, neighbours, engaged in an argument which escalated when the man kicked the woman’s door, causing damage to the lockset.
The 38-year-old Chatham man was located at his residence next door and arrested for mischief. He was transported to police headquarters where he was released on a form 10 with conditions and a future court date of February 25, 2026.
