Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – CK25024971
On April 30, 2025, at 11:43 PM, emergency crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Longwoods Road between Deep Drop Road and Huff Side Road. The incident involved a single vehicle and a lone pedestrian.
Emergency services arrived on the scene, where an 86-year-old male from Thamesville was pronounced deceased. The driver, a 20-year-old female from Thamesville, was not injured.
Due to the severity of the collision, the Traffic Management Unit was called in to handle the investigation, resulting in the temporary closure of Longwoods Road overnight. The roadway has since been reopened.
This investigation remains open and ongoing. The Chatham-Kent Police extend their heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones affected by this tragic incident.
