The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Assault (IPV) – CK25072984

Date: December 4, 2025, Time: 14:47 hrs, Location: Dresden

On December 4, 2025, at approximately 14:47 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault involving a weapon in Dresden.

Investigations revealed that a verbal altercation escalated between an accused, a 39-year-old female from Dresden and a 36-year-old male victim from Corunna. The accused threw a bag containing several items toward the victim, striking a nearby window. The accused then left the scene. No injuries were reported by the victim and no structural damage.

Officers located the accused on Sydenham Street in Dresden and she was arrested. The individual was charged with the following offence:

  • Count 1: Assault with a Weapon

She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she was released with a future court date of January 14, 2026.

Arrest – CK25073085

Date: December 4, 2025, Time: 04:11 hrs, Location: McNaughton Avenue, Wallaceburg

On November 14, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of fraudulent purchases made on a Credit Card. The complainant, a 59-year-old female from Wallaceburg, reported that her wallet was stolen and several unauthorised transactions at businesses in Wallaceburg were made.

Through investigations and the review of surveillance footage, the accused were identified as a 49-year-old male and a 36-year-old male both from Chatham-Kent, who attended several business locations in Wallaceburg.

Officers for reasonable and probable grounds to charge the accused with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Fraud Under $5,000
  • Count 2: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

A warrant was issued for their arrest

On December 4, 2025, both the accused were located and arrested on McNaughton Avenue, Wallaceburg on the outstanding warrant. They were transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where they were released with conditions and a future court date of January, 15, 2026.

Warrants – CK25073077 / CK25073087

Date: December 4, 2025, Time: 03:07 hrs, Location: Blenheim

On December 4, 2025, at approximately 03:07 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Blenheim.

Investigations revealed that a verbal altercation which escalated into a physical altercation between a 54-year-old male and a 57-year-old female, both from Harwich Township.

Both individuals were arrested.

The 54-year-old male was charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Assault
  • Count 2: Sexual Assault

The 57-year-old female was charged with the following offence:

  • Count 1: Assault

The individuals were transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where they were released.

The male accused received a future court date of January 12, 2026 and the female accused received a future court date of January 19, 2026.
