The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest/ Warrants – CK25076829

Date: December 22, 2025, Time: 17:06 hrs, Location: 24 Third Street, Chatham

On September 29, 2025, at approximately 12:01 a.m. members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a traffic stop on Bluewater Line in Wallaceburg after observing a vehicle with an obscured licence plate.

During the investigation, officers detected signs of alcohol impairment in the driver, a 25-year-old male from Walpole Island.

The individual failed to provide a suitable breath sample after multiple attempts and was arrested for the following offence:

  • Count 1: Fail to Comply with a Demand

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with conditions and given a scheduled court date of November 24, 2025, which he failed to attend. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On December 22, 2025, at approximately 17:06 hrs, the accused surrendered himself at the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters on the outstanding warrant. He was released with a scheduled court date.

Be on the Lookout

On December 22, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a stolen trailer from the area of Queen’s Line, Tilbury.

Between the hours of 20:30 hrs and 08:30 hrs, a heavy-duty trailer was stolen. The trailer did not have a license plate attached at the time of the theft.  

Anyone who may have information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the trailer is asked to contact the Chatham-Kent Police Service or submit information anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
