Date: December 18, 2025, Time: 08:01 hrs, Location: Third St. Chatham
On December 18, 2025, at approximately 08:01 hrs, Chatham‑Kent Police Service officers responded to multiple calls regarding a disturbance at a business on Third Street, Chatham. Police were called several times within a 12‑hour period after a male, who had previously been trespassed from the property, repeatedly returned and caused ongoing disruptions.
As a result, a 40‑year‑old male from Tilbury was located and arrested. He was charged with the following offence:
- Count 1: Cause Disturbance
He was transported to the Chatham‑Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with a scheduled court date of January 22, 2026.
Obstruction – CK25075961
Date: December 18, 2025, Time: 17:11 hrs, Location: Park St. Chatham
On December 18, 2025, at approximately 17:11 hrs, Chatham‑Kent Police Service officers responded to a report involving a 29‑year‑old male from Chatham‑Kent suspected of being involved in a recent theft from a business on Park Street, Chatham.
During the investigation, officers determined the male was wanted in connection with previously reported thefts from vehicles in Chatham‑Kent. Officers located the male while on patrol and confirmed he possessed an active warrant. The male also provided false identification to officers.
As a result, the individual was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant and charged with the following offences:
- Obstruction of a Police Officer
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 ×2
- Identity Documents ×4
He was transported to the Chatham‑Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.

Date: December 18, 2025, Time: 21:53 hrs, Location: St Clair Street, Chatham
On December 18, 2025, at approximately 21:53 hrs, the Chatham‑Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft at a retail store on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
The investigation revealed that a male suspect entered the store and selected several items of merchandise with the intent to steal. A loss prevention officer along with Chatham‑Kent Police Service officers intervened. The accused was identified as a 33‑year‑old male from Chatham‑Kent.
He was subsequently charged with the following offences:
- Count 1: Theft Under $5,000
- Count 2: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The individual was transported to the Chatham‑Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of January 20, 2026.
Mischief – CK25075997
Date: December 18, 2025, Time: 03:34 hrs, Location: Vanier Drive, Chatham
On December 18, 2025, at approximately 03:34 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of disturbance at a business on Grand Avenue West.
Upon arrival, officers located damage made to a business window, leaving the premises insecure. Further investigation revealed that a male had been yelling, damaging property and making threats toward the public. The male was located a short distance away and admitted to causing the damage.
As a result, a 27-year-old male from Chatham was arrested and charged with the following offence:
- Mischief Under $5,000
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of January 20, 2026.
