Over the past week, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Unit responded to four serious motor vehicle collisions throughout the Municipality. An outline of each of these investigations is listed below.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK2505768

On September 15, 2025, at approximately 11:16 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a semi-truck operated by a 40-year-old female from London, and a cyclist, a 38-year-old male from Chatham-Kent on St. Clair Street in Chatham. The 38-year-old male was transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with life-threatening injuries and was subsequently transferred to the Winsdsor Regional Hospital. The 40-year-old female did not sustain any injuries in the collision.

Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, the Traffic Management Unit was called to take over the investigation.

On September 19, 2025, the 38-year-old male succumbed to his injuries. The Chatham-Kent Police Service offers its sincerest condolences to the family. Motor Vehicle Collision CK25055768

On September 19, 2025, at approximately 6:37 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision involving an SUV, operated by a 58-year-old male from Wallaceburg and a dirt bike, operated by a 15-year-old youth from Dover Township. This collision occurred at the intersection of St. George Street and Lindsey Road in Dresden. The 15-year-old youth was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and then transferred to London Health Sciences Centre with life threatening injuries. The 58-year-old male did not sustain any injuries in this collision.

Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, the Traffic Management Unit was called to take over the investigation.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK25056895

On September 19, 2025, at approximately 8:16 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a single-vehicle collision in the parking lot of Enbridge on Kiel Drive in Chatham. A 32-year-old male from Chatham was operating a dirt bike in this parking lot when he lost control and was thrown from the dirt bike. As a result, he was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and subsequently transferred to the Windsor Regional Hospital with life-threatening conditions.

Due to the severity of the injuries sustained during this collision, the Traffic Management unit was called to take over the investigation.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK25057173

On September 21, 2025, at approximately 1:31 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Creek Road near Maynard Line. An automatic crash alert was received. Police and emergency services attended the scene and located a vehicle that had left the roadway, striking a residence.  A 23-year-old female driver from Tilbury was located with serious injuries and was transferred to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and subsequently transferred to London Health Science Centre with life threatening conditions where, she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. The Chatham-Kent Police Service offers its sincerest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones.

A 24-year-old male passenger was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with minor injuries.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the female involved in this collision.
