The Chatham-Kent Police Service will launch its 2026 Community Survey on September 1, running through September 30. The survey is administered by an independent third-party provider, ensuring complete confidentiality. CKPS does not have access to individual responses or participant identities.
In addition to the online survey, some residents may receive a telephone call from the survey provider requesting their participation. These calls are legitimate, and recipients are encouraged to take part. Whether completed online or by phone, every response helps us better understand community needs and expectations.
Community feedback plays a vital role in shaping our priorities, guiding service improvements, and helping us better understand the needs and expectations of residents. The results of our 2025 Community Survey were published on our website, along with a summary of the actions and improvements implemented in response to what we heard from the community.
Chief Kirk Earley emphasized the importance of community engagement:

Your feedback helps us better understand community expectations, inform future planning, and identify where we should focus our efforts. Every response provides valuable insight that helps shape the future of our organization. All residents are encouraged to participate by sharing their experiences, perspectives, and suggestions. Feedback helps us better understand what matters most to our community and identify opportunities to continue improving the services we provide. The survey also provides an opportunity to recognize and commend CKPS members whose dedication, professionalism, and commitment have made a positive difference in the lives of others.
