On September 9, 2025, at approximately 9:12 a.m., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Intelligence Unit and Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in Chatham. A search warrant was also executed on a 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross rental vehicle.

A systematic search of the residence was conducted, resulting in the seizure of the following:

  • 319 grams of Fentanyl
  • 193 grams of Cocaine
  • 605 grams of Methamphetamine
  • 236 grams of Heroin
  • Numerous Hydromorphone capsules
  • Numerous Nabilone capsules
  • Numerous Clonazepam tablets
  • A loaded 9mm Glock handgun
  • Digital scales
  • Packaging material
  • A large quantity of Canadian Currency

The total estimated street value of the controlled substances exceeds $160,800.

Four individuals were located at the residence: a 31-year-old male from Chatham and a 49-year-old female also from Chatham, a 23-year-old male from Kitchener and a 27-year-old male also from Kitchener.

As a result of the investigation, all four accused were charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1 – Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Count 2 – Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Count 3 – Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Count 4 – Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Heroin
  • Count 5 – Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Hydromorphone
  • Count 6 – Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Nabilone
  • Count 7 – Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Clonazepam
  • Count 8 – Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
  • Count 9 – Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Count 10 – Careless storage/use of a firearm
  • Count 11- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

The accused were arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where they remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
