Location: Richmond Street, Chatham, Ontario
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at approximately 15:50 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service observed a vehicle on Richmond Street in Chatham being operated by a man known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the male party without incident. The male was then taken to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Chatham man has been charged with:
- Breaking and entering with intent
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
