Assault – CK26057137

Location: King Street East, Chatham, Ontario
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at approximately 20:42 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an assault complaint in the area of King Street East in Chatham.
Through investigation police learned that Chatham woman was walking in the area when she was approached by another woman who was not known to her. The accused then struck the victim in the face unprovoked.
As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old Chatham woman has been arrested and charged with:
- One count of assault
The accused was then released on an appearance notice with a future court date of October 28, 2026.
