Operation While Impaired – CK26062418
Date: August 24, 2026, 0048hrs Location: Richmond Street, Chatham
On August 24, 2026, at approximately 0048hrs, an officer observed a vehicle travelling on Richmond Street with no headlights activated.
The officer conducted a traffic stop.
The driver was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Conveyance and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he provided samples of his breath.
A 40-year-old Chatham male is facing charges for the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Concentration 80-plus
He was released on a Form 10 with a court date of September 29, 2026.
Assault (IPV) – CK26062270
Date: August 23, 2026, 0949hrs Location: Chatham
On August 23, 2026, at approximately 0949hrs, police attended an address in Chatham regarding an assault.
A male pushed a female, threw a beer can at her and shattered a mirror. She did not suffer physical injuries requiring medical attention.
As a result, a 49-year-old Chatham male was arrested for Assault, Assault With a Weapon and Mischief Under $5,000.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of September 28, 2026.

Date: August 22, 2026, 1424hrs Location: Chatham
On August 22, 2026, at approximately 1424hrs, police were dispatched to an address in Chatham for a disturbance.
A female was on conditions not to associate with another female.
As a result, a 20-year-old Chatham female faces charges of:
- Failure to Comply With Undertaking (Count 1)
- Failure to Comply With Undertaking (Count 2)
A 19-year-old Chatham female faces charges of:
- Facilitate Breach
Both were transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of September 28, 2026.
Assault (IPV) – CK26061896
Date: August 21, 2026, 2028hrs Location: Chatham
On August 21, 2026, at approximately 2028hrs, police were contacted regarding a post made by a male on social media.
Through investigation, police formed grounds for the following charges:
- Publication of an Intimate Image Without Consent
- Criminal Harassment
A 34-year-old Chatham male was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters.
He was released on a Form 10 with a court date of September 16, 2026.
