Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham, ON
On Friday, August 14, 2026, at approximately 06:12 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service were called to an address on Grand Avenue West for a threat’s complaint.
Through investigation police learned security had directed a male party was attempting to gain entry into vehicles in a parking lot. When security approached the suspect, the male was directed to leave the premiss. At which point the male became verbally aggressive with security and threatened to the bomb the building.
As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Chatham man of No fixed address has been arrested and charged with:
- Uttering threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The accused was then transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, at approximately 13:20 hrs, while on general patrol in Chatham, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service located a male party in the area of Wellington Street West who had an active warrant with the Chatham-Kent Police Service for the offence of Breach of Probation.
Officers arrested the 28-year-old Chatham man without incident. The accused was then taken to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.

Location: Wellington Street West, Chatham, ON
On Sunday, August 16, 2026, at approximately 11:37 hrs, while on general patrol in the area of Wellington Street West in Chatham, officers located a male party who currently had an active warrant with Chatham-Kent Police for the offence of theft under $5,000.
Officers arrested the 33-year-old Chatham man without incident. The accused was then released on an appearance notice with a future court date of November 9, 2026.
