Criminal Harassment (IPV) – CK26059213
Date: August 12, 2026, 2020hrs Location: Chatham
On August 13, 2026, at approximately 2020hrs, police were dispatched to a Chatham residence regarding ongoing unwanted and harassing communications.
A 46-year-old Ridgetown man was charged Criminal Harassment and Harassing Communications.
He was released on a Form 10 with a court date of September 21, 2026.
Obstruct Police – CK26059251
Date: August 12, 2026, 2319hrs Location: Standaert Drive, Chatham
On August 12, 2026, at approximately 2319hrs, police were dispatched to Standaert Drive regarding a suspicious person.
Police spoke with the male, who provided a name to officers.
Through investigation, the officers determined that the male had provided a false name.
They were able to ascertain his true identity and found the male to be breaching conditions.
As a result, a 22-year-old Chatham male was charged with the following conditions:
- Trespass by Night
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with Probation
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
Assault (IPV) – CK26059269
Date: August 13, 2026, 0004hrs Location: Blenheim
On August 13, 2026, at approximately 0004hrs, police were dispatched to a Blenheim address.
Investigation revealed that a female scratched a male resulting in minor injuries.
A 28-year-old Blenheim female was arrested for Assault. She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of September 23, 2026.
