Date: April 28, 2026, 1122hrs Location: James Street, Wallaceburg
On April 28, 2026, at approximately 11:22hrs, Chatham-Kent police officers attended a Wallaceburg bank after a male attempted to open an account with suspected fraudulent documents.
Through investigation, police confirmed that the documents were fraudulent and that the male has been living illegally in Canada since 2022. When officers attempted to arrest the man, he resisted, resulting in a minor physical altercation with police.
The 33-year-old-old male was taken into custody, charged with four counts of Utter Forged Document, three counts of Possession of Identity Document, Forgery, Fraud Under $5,000, Obstruct Police and Resist Arrest. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Date: April 28, 2026, 1659hrs Location: Sass Road, Chatham
On April 28, 2026, at approximately 16:59hrs, police received a call regarding an unwanted person at a Sass Road business.
Officers attended and located a female who was bound by a probation order prohibiting her from attending any location where specific individuals were known to work. She was found in breach of this condition and arrested.
The 33-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
