Date: April 22, 2026, Time: 18:29hrs., Location: Chatham
On April 22, 2026, at approximately 18:29hrs., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a residence in Chatham for a reported of intimate partner violence.
Through the investigations, police determined that a physical altercation had occurred between a 29-year-old male and a 31-year-old female, both from Chatham. There were no reported injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with the following:
- Assault
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service where he was later released with a scheduled future court date of June 15, 2026.

Date: April 22, 2026, Time: 22:54hrs., Location: Wheatley
On April 22, 2026, at approximately, 22:54 hrs., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a residence in Wheatley following a reported intimate partner violence.
Investigations revealed that a 40-year-old male from Wheatley had attended the residence uninvited and became involved in a physical altercation with a 38-year-old victim from Wheatley. The accused grabbed a table and threw it at the victim, striking her lower body. The accused also uttered threats to harm the victim. The accused then vacated the residence. No medical attention was reported.
Officers attended and located the accused in Wheatley. As a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with the following:
- Count 1: Break and Enter dwelling house-commit indictable offence
- Count 2: Uttering threats- cause death or bodily harm
- Count 3: Assault with a weapon
The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently held for bail.
