The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Warrants – CK26022805

Date: April 1, 2026, Time: 12:06 hrs., Location: Campbell Street, Chatham

On October 28, 2025, at approximately 17:15 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an altercation in the area of Forsyth Street in Chatham.

Investigations revealed that two individuals, a 39-year-old male accused and a 34-year-old male victim, both from Chatham, became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated to a physical confrontation outside a business on Wellington Street in Chatham. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical assistance.

As a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Count 1: Assault

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date of December 9, 2025, which he failed to attend and was also found to be in breach of his court-ordered conditions.

Subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On April 1, 2026, at approximately 12:06 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call from a complainant indicating that the accused had been identified on the Service’s Most Wanted List. Subsequently, he was located on Campbell Street in Chatham. He was arrested on his outstanding warrant and was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date of May 26, 2026.

Warrants – CK26022929

Date: April 2, 2026, Time: 00:14 hrs., Location: Park Avenue West, Chatham

On February 20, 2026, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a fraud investigation at a residence on Orchard Place in Chatham.

Investigations revealed that an 18-year-old female accused from Chatham-Kent had stolen a 24-year-old victim’s credit card and made several unauthorized purchases.

Through the use of surveillance footage, the accused was identified using the card at a business on St. Clair Street, Chatham.

Officers formed grounds to charge the accused with the following:

  • Count 1: Theft under $5000
  • Count 2: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
  • Count 3: Theft of Credit Card
  • Count 4: Adult Use of Credit Card

Subsequently, a warrant was issued for her arrest.

On April 2, 2026, at approximately 00:14 hrs., members of the Chatham-Kent Police attended a residence in Chatham for an IPV incident.

As a result of the investigation, the accused was located and arrested on her outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she was released with conditions and a scheduled court date.

Warrants – CK26022931

Date: April 2, 2026, Time: 00:17 hrs., Location: Park Avenue West, Chatham

On January 20, 2025, at approximately 20:03 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Blythewood Crescent in Chatham (CK25004952).

Upon arrival, officers located a male inside the residence with visible injuries. Investigations revealed that a 30-year-old male accused had physically assaulted a 40-year-old male victim, both from Chatham. The male required additional medical attention and was transported to the hospital.

Through further investigation, officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the accused with the following:

  • Count 1: Assault

Subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest. The accused was located and arrested on January 25, 2025. He was released with a scheduled court date of March 3, 2025. The accused failed to attend court on two occasions and an endorsed warrant was issued for his arrest. (RM25003851).

On April 2, 2026, at approximately 00:17 hrs, the accused was located on Park Avenue West Chatham. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant. The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently held for bail.
