Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 279 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eight people were arrested and seven were on outstanding warrants.
Residential Break and Enter and Theft in Chatham- CK24050960
On Thursday, October 10th, 2024, Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a residential break and enter in the area of Gregory Drive East in Chatham, that took place sometime overnight.
Unknown suspect(s) attended the address and entered a shop on the property. Numerous tools were taken, valuing approximately $20,000. This investigation is still ongoing.

Theft of Trailer – CK24050971
On Thursday, October 10th, 2024, Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a theft of an 8’ long flatbed trailer black in colour, in the area of Rivard Line, that took place sometime overnight.
Unknown suspect(s) attended the address and took the trailer from the property. This investigation is still ongoing.

Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant- CK24050739
On Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a 36-year-old Sarnia woman, attended the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and an outstanding warrant in relation to her failing to comply with her probation order was executed.
The 36-year-old woman was arrested under the strength of the warrant, she was held for processing and was later released with a future court date of November 4th, 2024.
Chatham Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant- CK24051039
On Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., while on general patrol in Chatham, a Chatham-Kent Police officer encountered 41-year-old Chatham man known to police and known to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Upon confirming the outstanding warrant in relation to him failing to attend court, the 41-year-old man was arrested, and the warrant was executed.
The 41-year-old man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for processing and held pending a bail hearing the following day.

On Friday, October 11th, 2024, at approximately 01:20 a.m., while on general patrol in Wallaceburg, a Chatham-Kent Police officer encountered 32-year-old Wallaceburg man known to police and known to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Upon confirming the outstanding warrant in relation to him failing to attend court, the 32-year-old man was arrested, and the warrant was executed.
The 32-year-old man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for processing and held pending a bail hearing the following day.
Commercial Break and Enter and Mischief in Chatham- CK24051217
On Friday, October 11th, 2024, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a motion alarm that had been activated in a local business in Chatham, in the area of Richmond Street.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the building was insecure, and upon entering it, located a 20-year-old Chatham man who had attempted to disable the audible security alarm by smashing it, in attempts of locating anything of value without causing alert.
Officers learned that the 20-year-old man had gained entry by prying one of the doors open.
As a result, police placed the man under arrest and facing one count of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, as well as one count of mischief.
The estimated value in property damage was $1,000, and no stolen property was found on his person.
Upon his arrest, he was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for processing and held pending a bail hearing the following day.
