Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 301 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Five people were arrested and four were on outstanding warrants.
Theft of Motor Vehicle- CK24050651
On Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a theft of a white Dodge Durango vehicle in the area of Old Glass Road, Wallaceburg, that took place sometime overnight.
Unknown suspect(s) attended the address and left in the vehicle, which has been left unlocked. This investigation is still ongoing.

Residential Break and Enter and Theft in Chatham- CK24050669
On Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a residential break and enter in the area of Daylight Pt in Chatham, that took place sometime between the evening of October 8th, 2024, and morning of October 9th, 2024.
Unknown suspect(s) attended the address and entered the garage. Tools and fishing equipment were taken from the garage, valuing approximately $5,000. This investigation is still ongoing.

Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant- CK24050739
On Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., a 42-year-old woman from Chatham, attended the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and an outstanding warrant in relation to her failing to attend court was executed.
The 42-year-old woman was arrested under the strength of the warrant, she was held for processing and was later released with a future court date of November 11, 2024.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrants- CK24037105
On Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police received information from Sarnia Police that they located an individual in their jurisdiction that had three outstanding warrants with Chatham-Kent Police for four counts of failing to comply with a release order, another warrant for failing to comply with a release order and a bench warrant for failing to attend court, in connection to an uttering threats investigation.
In collaboration with Sarnia Police Service, a 27-year-old man was arrested under the strength of the outstanding warrants, and officers from Chatham-Kent Police attended Sarnia Police Headquarters to take over custody.
The 27-year-old man was arrested, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for processing, and held pending a bail hearing.
