Man Arrested on Warrant (CK24058363)
In August of 2022, the Chatham-Kent Police Service commenced a firearms-related investigation after responding to an active incident at a residence in Chatham. As a result of this investigation, police formed grounds to arrest a then 32-year-old man for Careless Use of a Firearm, Carry a Concealed Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. A warrant was subsequently submitted and authorized for his arrest.
On November 14th, 2024, police located this man and arrested him without incident on the strength of this warrant. He was ultimately processed at police headquarters, before being released a short time later on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
Watch for Wildlife
Motorists are reminded to be more vigilant on our roads, especially during dusk and dawn, which is when most collisions with deer occur.
Being aware and taking precautions can reduce collisions, save lives and protect wildlife:
– Scan the road ahead from shoulder to shoulder for any movement.
– Use high beams at night, when possible, and watch for the glowing eyes of animals.
– If an animal is crossing the road, stop as safely as possible, in your lane.
– Remember, if one animal crosses the road, others may follow.
– Never swerve suddenly. This may cause you to lose control of your vehicle, resulting in a more serious collision.
