Sometime overnight on May 27th, 2024, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a restaurant located in Chatham, through a glass door taking approximately $150.00 worth in alcohol products. This investigation is ongoing.

Wallaceburg Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant- CK24024072
In the morning of Monday, May 27th, 2024, a 42-year-old Wallaceburg female was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant.
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for a bail hearing before a judge.
Mischief in Tilbury- CK24024078
At approximately 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 26th, 2024, unknown suspect(s) put black tar on 49 tractors and skid steers at a business in Tilbury, causing approximately $100,000.00 in damage. This investigation is ongoing.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle / Residential Break and Enter in Chatham – CK24024099 / CK24024123
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 27th, 2024, an officer on general patrol in Chatham received a notification on the ALPR system of a vehicle that returned as stolen. An officer made attempts to approach the vehicle while it was parked, which then caused the vehicle to take off but it was not pursued by the officer. Shortly after, the vehicle was located unoccupied in the area of Queen Street in Chatham and witnessed a male running into backyards.
At this point, a perimeter was setup and canine were utilized to track the individual. This concluded in a successful apprehension of the male, located in a residential garage that he had broken into.
Incident to arrest, a 37-year-old London male was arrested and charged for various offences, including dangerous operation, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and break and enter. The stolen vehicle was recovered, as well as stolen property that was taken from the residential garage.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for a bail hearing before a judge.
Man Charged with Impaired Driving in Chatham – CK24024174
The Chatham-Kent Police Service have arrested a man for impaired driving in Chatham yesterday afternoon.
At around 9:30 p.m. police received a report of a possible impaired driver as someone witnessed a vehicle almost striking a median and swerving into oncoming traffic. Shortly after, police located the described motor vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop.
Through investigation, the officer believed that the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and he was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for further testing.
The 23-year-old Chatham man has been charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drug(s). It was also learned that there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest; the warrant was executed, and he was held for bail pending a hearing before a judge.

In the morning of Tuesday, May 28th, 2024, a 48-year-old Chatham male was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for a bail hearing before a judge.
