The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 162 calls for service in the past 24 hours. Seven people were arrested.
Man Arrested for Assaulting a Police Officer- CK24026361
Yesterday at approximately 6:00PM, Police were called to an address on Talbot Trail in Blenheim regarding a Family Dispute. On arrival, Officers located an intoxicated male and placed him under arrest for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place. The man was transported to Headquarters pending sobriety.
On arrival to Headquarters, the man became combative and assaulted an officer during the booking process.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place and Assault Peace Officer. The man was held in custody until sober and released with a future court date.
Impaired Driving Arrest- CK24026371
Yesterday at approximately 8:15PM, Police were called in regards to a Single Motor Vehicle Collision in the area of Duart Road in Orford Township. The 22-year-old driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries and was subsequently arrested for Operation While Impaired.
The 22-year-old man was later released with a future court date.
