The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 195 calls for service in the past 24 hours. Five people were arrested.
K9 locates Break and Enter Suspects- CK24026239
This morning at approximately 2:19am, the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call for a Break and Enter at a business on James Street in Wallaceburg.
Patrol Officers arrived on scene along with K9 Helix and a building search was commenced.
K9 Helix was able to locate two suspects inside and as a result, a 34-year-old male and a 35-year-old male, both from Wallaceburg, were arrested and charged for Break and Enter.
The 35-year-old male was released from custody with a future court date and the 34-year-old male was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Woman arrested for Mischief- CK24026193
Last night at approximately 7:54pm, Police received a call for service on Second Street in Chatham. Police learned that a female party had attended an address looking for a child and began asking questions about the resident’s children. Police have had recent similar incidents involving this female.
Police attended and the 27-year-old female was arrested for Mischief. She was subsequently released from custody with a future court date.
