At 7:46 a.m., police responded to Grand Avenue West in Chatham for an assault investigation.
Officers learned the man was directed to leave the property but refused. As he was being escorted off the premises by security, the man was argumentative and pulled a knife. Security de-escalated the situation resulting in the man throwing the knife to the floor.
The 52-year-old Chatham Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date of July 22, 2024. He was charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Man Arrested for Bail Violations CK24027609
At 9:56 a.m., the man attended Chatham Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant in relation to a July 2, 2024, bail violation investigation.
The 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with conditions and a future court date of July 22, 2024. He is currently facing the following charges: assault and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Upon arrival, officers learned the man had assaulted an employee of a business. The man was located nearby, intoxicated.
The 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held until he was sober. He was released with conditions and a future court date. He has been charged with assault.
