Women Arrested for Theft/Warrants

On 2024-05-31 the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a theft from vehicle complaint. The suspect was promptly located and arrested. The suspect was identified as a 37-year-old woman. The woman was searched incident to arrest and was found to be in possession of property stolen earlier on this date.
The woman was also found to have an outstanding warrant with the London Police Service for Breach of Probation x2, Theft Under $5000, Theft of Motor Vehicle and Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Prohibited.
The woman was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Breaching Probation

On 2024-05-31 the Chatham-Kent Police attended an address in Chatham for a suspicious person complaint. A male suspect was sleeping in a tent at this location and was suspected of burning garbage and using drugs. Area residents worried the combination of behaviours was dangerous.
The suspect was located and identified as a 37-year-old Chatham man. The man was found to be breaching a Probation Order and was arrested. The man was processed and released with a future court date. Following his release, the man re-attended the site of his arrest breaching his probation order and his very recent Form 10 release. The man also damaged property at this location and then fled. A warrant has been issued for the man’s arrest.
