Man Arrested for Assault CK24033883
At 1:40 p.m., police attended an address on Water Street in Wallaceburg for a disturbance. Police located a man to be in distress and while making attempts to engage the man to help him, the man attempted to barricade himself in a room inside the residence. Officers intervened and at that time, the man assaulted police and then resisted arrest.
The 35-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to Sydenham district Hospital for treatment and was subsequently release at on an appearance notice with a future court date.
Man Arrested for a Warrants/Obstruct Police CK24033889
At 1:40 p.m., while police were dealing with a man causing a disturbance on Water Street in Wallaceburg, a male who also lived at the same residence, obstructed police by attempting to intervene and stop officers attempting to affect an arrest. The man was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for mischief.
The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters, where he was later released on an undertaking with a future court date of August 26th, 2024.
Man Arrested for Theft/Drugs CK24034005
At 12:50 a.m., police responded to a call for service on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. A man was observed to be removing items from a parked pickup truck and was located a short distance away by officers. During a search of the male incident to arrest, property removed from the truck as well as suspected methamphetamine was located.
The 23-year-old Chatham-Kent man was transported to police headquarters where he was subsequently released with conditions and a future court date of August 22nd, 2024. He is currently facing the following charges: theft, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
