Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 165 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eight people were arrested, and six were on outstanding warrants.
Break and Enter and Stolen Property in Chatham- CK24033107
Sometime over the last couple days, unknown suspect(s) entered a detached garage in the area of West Street in Chatham and stole approximately $1,000 worth of Milwaukee and Stihl construction tools.

Man Arrested on Warrants- CK24033122
On Monday, July 15th, 2024, at approximately 09:37 a.m., a 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested on the strength of a Chatham-Kent Police warrant in connection to an intimate partner violence investigation.
The 34-year-old Chatham man was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
As a result of the bail hearing, he was remanded into custody and transported to Southwest Regional Detention Center. His next court appearance is scheduled for August 6th, 2024.
Woman Arrested on Warrants- CK24033171
On Monday, July 15th, 2024, at approximately 2:15 p.m., a 21-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on the strength of a Chatham-Kent Police warrant in connection to an aggravated assault investigation.
The 21-year-old Chatham woman was held in police custody and later released with conditions and a future court date of August 19th, 2024.
Man Arrested on Warrants- CK24033122
On Monday, July 15th, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police received an accidental 9-1-1 call in the area of Oxley Drive in Chatham. Upon checking on the wellbeing of the caller, a 19-year-old Chatham man was arrested on the strength of a Chatham-Kent Police warrant in connection to an intimate partner violence investigation, as well as a DNA warrant.
The 19-year-old Chatham man was held in police custody and later released with conditions and a future court date of August 19th, 2024.
Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence- CK24033212
On Monday, July 15th, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police received a 9-1-1 call, leading them to begin an investigation involving intimate partner violence in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned the man had attempted to assault and threatened his former wife’s life.
The 37-year-old Chatham man was located and arrested. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.
He has been charged with assault, assault cause bodily harm, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
Man Arrested on Warrants- CK24033223
On Monday, July 15th, 2024, at approximately 7:40 p.m., a 41-year-old Chatham man was arrested on the strength of a Chatham-Kent Police warrant in connection to a mischief investigation.
The 41-year-old Chatham man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of August 12th, 2024.
Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence- CK24033212
On Monday, July 15th, 2024, at 10:50 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police received a 9-1-1 call, leading them to begin an investigation involving intimate partner violence in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned the man was in the process of transferring property over from his vehicle into his former girlfriend’s vehicle, when he suddenly took off in his vehicle, and making contact with his former girlfriend, causing her to fall down to the ground.
The 64-year-old Chatham man was subsequently located and arrested. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.
He has been charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm and failing to stop at accident resulting in bodily harm. The female was transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and sustained superficial injuries to her legs.
Woman Arrested on Warrants- CK24033258
On Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, at approximately 01:45 a.m., Chatham-Kent Police attended a residence in Chatham for an unrelated matter, and a 39-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on the strength of a Chatham-Kent Police warrant in connection to a theft investigation.
The 39-year-old Chatham woman was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of August 12th, 2024.
