The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 165 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested and two were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested on Warrants CK24032178
On Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, at approximately 8:20 a.m., a 19-year-old Chatham man was arrested on the strength of a Chatham-Kent Police warrant in connection to an aggravated assault investigation.
The 19-year-old Chatham man was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
As a result of the bail hearing, he was remanded into custody and transported to Southwest Regional Detention Center. His next court appearance is scheduled for today’s date.
Break and Enter and Stolen Property in Chatham- CK24032183
Sometime overnight on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 , in the area of Harvey Street in Chatham, unknown suspect(s)entered a detached garage and stole a DeWalt table saw and food items. This investigation is ongoing.

Man Arrested for Bail Violations CK24032234
On June 29th, 2024., police began a bail violation investigation in Wallaceburg.
The man had been released by the court with conditions prohibiting him from attending an address due to domestic violence related charges. Police learned that the man had attended the prohibited address and breached his conditions.
The 38-year-old Wallaceburg man was later located and arrested on July 10th, 2024 on the strength of an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with release order and unlawfully being in a dwelling.
He was transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
As a result of the bail hearing, he was remanded into custody and transported to Southwest Regional Detention Center. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 15th, 2024.
