Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 217 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 11 people were arrested and five were on outstanding warrants.
Residential Break and Enter and Theft in Chatham- CK24039926
On Thursday, August 22nd, 2024, Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a residential break and enter in the area of Llydican Avenue in Chatham, that took place sometime overnight.
Unknown suspect(s) attended the address and entered an enclosed porch on the property, as well a parked vehicle was entered. Various items were taken valuing approximately $200 dollars. This investigation is still ongoing.

Man Arrested on Warrants- CK24039979 / CK24039834
On August 21st, 2024, Chatham-Kent Police officers began an investigation in connection to an aggravated assault incident.
Through investigation, a warrant was issued for the arrest of a 46-year-old Camden Township man, for the following charges: assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and uttering threat to cause death or bodily harm.
On August 22nd, 2024, with the assistance of an Ontario Provincial Police officer,
at approximately 11:30 a.m., the 46-year-old man was located in the area of Moravian Town in his vehicle.
The 46-year-old man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was processed, and held pending a bail hearing on August 23, 2024.
Woman Arrested on Warrants- CK24039978
On August 22nd, 2024, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent Police received a call from a concerned citizen, wishing to report a woman running in the middle of an intersection in the town of Dresden.
Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old Chatham-Kent woman known to police from previous involvement.
While checking on her wellbeing, officers also learned that there was outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. She was arrested on the strength of the warrant and was provided a new court date.
Subsequently, the 42-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was released from police custody.
Woman Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence – CK24040104
On August 22nd, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police officers responded to Lorne Avenue in Chatham, in relation to a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers learned the woman engaged in a verbal argument with the man, which escalated when she assaulted him. No injuries were sustained.
At 11:30 p.m., a 44-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where she was released with conditions and a future court date of September 23rd, 2024.
She has been charged with one count of assault, and one count of assault with a weapon.
Woman Arrested on Warrants- CK24040148
On August 23rd, 2024, at approximately 04:25 a.m., Chatham-Kent Police located a 43-year-old Chatham woman in a back alley on King Street East, Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers were able to identify the woman as a result of previous police involvement.
While checking on her wellbeing, officers also learned that there was outstanding unendorsed warrant for failing to attend court. She was arrested on the strength of the warrant and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for processing.
Subsequently, the 43-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was held in police custody pending a bail hearing on August 23, 2024.
