Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 183 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested, and one was on an outstanding warrant.
Woman Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence CK24039608
At 8:16 a.m., police responded to Bond Street in Tilbury to a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers learned the woman engaged in a verbal argument with the man, which escalated when she assaulted him.
The 23-year-old Tilbury woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was released with conditions and a future court date of September 16, 2024.
She has been charged with one count of assault.
Chatham Man Arrested for Public Intoxication CK24039658
At 2:30 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police responded to a report at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham for an intoxicated man causing a disturbance.
Officers arrived on the scene and located the man. He was highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself.
The 54-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was held in custody until sober.
He was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for public intoxication.
Residential Break and Enter and Theft in Chatham- CK24039675
On Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a residential break and enter in the area of Knights Line in Harwich Township, that took place sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Unknown suspect(s) attended the address and forced entry. Several items were taken from the residence. This investigation is still ongoing.

Wallaceburg Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK24039721
At 8:00 p.m. Chatham-Kent Police attended a residence in the area of Dundas Street in Wallaceburg, for a domestic dispute.
Through investigation, a 58-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested for an outstanding warrant, in relation to three separate investigations for failing to attend court.
The 58-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.
