Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 155 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested, and two were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Assault CK24038007
On August 11, 2024, at 9:40 a.m., police responded to a neighbour dispute on Park Avenue East in Chatham.
Through investigation, the officer learned an altercation occurred that resulted in the man uttering threats and assaulting the neighbour.
At 5:50 p.m. the 55-year-old Tecumseh man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police. He was arrested and released with conditions and a future court date of September 23, 2024. The man is currently facing the following charges: uttering threats and assault with a weapon.
Woman Arrested for Theft CK24038047
At 8:46 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Wedgewood Avenue in Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers locate a woman and confirmed she was wanted on several outstanding warrants related to theft investigations and failing to attend court. The woman was arrested.
The 42-year-old Chatham woman was transported to police headquarters, where she was released with conditions and a future court date of September 16, 2024. She is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, two counts of theft and two counts of possession of stolen property.
