Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 265 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Ten people were arrested and four were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24041484
At 9:31 p.m., police located the man on Fourth Street in Chatham. The officer confirmed the man was wanted an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 52-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: Resist arrest, failing to attend court and failing to comply with an appearance notice.
Woman Arrested for Assault CK24041583
On August 29, 2024, at 3:01 a.m., police responded to Montgomery Drive in Wallaceburg for a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers learned a verbal argument between the man and the woman escalated, when the woman pushed the man down some stairs. Further investigation revealed grounds for other charges.
The 29-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was released with conditions and a future court date of September 23, 2024. She has been charged with mischief and two counts of assault.
