Road Closure due to Fire
Please be advised that McNaughton Ave. W. Chatham from St Clair St. to Sheldon Ave. will be closed due to a residential fire incident. Expect the road closure to remain for a majority of the day.
Two Men Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property

On 2024-08-25 a member of the Chatham-Kent Police while on general patrol; located a vehicle belonging to a wanted party. The 39-year-old Toronto man was wanted in connection to multiple theft incidents in Chatham-Kent. Additional officers attended the area, and the suspect was arrested. In the company of this man was a 30-year-old York man who also had outstanding warrants in other jurisdictions. This man was also arrested. The vehicle the two men were operating was seized as it appeared to contain a large amount of stolen property. A search warrant is pending for the vehicle.
Both parties held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Woman Arrested for Failure to Comply with Bail

On 2024-08-24 a Chatham-Kent Police patrol unit located two persons in Chatham. One of the persons was identified as a 36-year-old Petrolia woman and was found to be on bail conditions not to associate with her 37-year-old male companion. The woman was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
