The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Arrest Theft – Case# CK25026221
Date: May 6, 2025. Time: 19:51hrs, Location: Richmond Street, Chatham
Details:
On May 6, 2025, at approximately 19:51hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft at a retail store in Chatham. Two suspects – a 31-year-old male and a 32-year-old female, both from Chatham had stolen several items from a local store on Richmond Street, Chatham and fled the scene.
Upon investigation and with the assistance of a description provided, officers were able to locate both suspects a few blocks away in the area. There were subsequently arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters.
Both individuals were released with a scheduled court date of June 2, 2025.
