Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for May 30-June 1, 2025. The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Key Incidents:
Warrant – CK25031367
Date: May 30, 2025, Time: 20:11 hrs., Location: Margaret Avenue. Wallaceburg
On January 30, 2025, a 44-year-old male from Wallaceburg was convicted on multiple charges including Mischief Under $5000, Failing to Attend Court, Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
He was sentenced by the court to one day in custody and twelve months of probation, commencing January 23, 2025.
On March 24, 2025, the individual failed to attend court, and an endorsed warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 28, 2025, the accused also failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On May 30, 2025, at approximately 20:11hrs Chatham-Kent Police Service officers located the male suspect from the prior cased in a parking lot In Wallaceburg. A records check confirmed that the individual was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Failing to attend court and Failure to Comply.
The individual was placed under arrest on the strength of a warrant and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters.
He was later released with a scheduled court date of June 02, 2025.
Impaired – CK25031629
Date: May 31, 2025, Time: 00:02 hrs., Location: Wheatley Road, Tilbury East
On May 31, 2025, at approximately 00:02 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a traffic complaint regarding a suspected impaired driver. A concerned citizen observed a vehicle travelling erratically at high speeds before pulling over and turning off its lights. Officers located the vehicle a short time later at the side of the road.
A single occupant, a 51-year-old male from Leamington was located in the driver’s seat of a pickup truck and officers noted signs of impairment.
Police conducted an investigation, and the driver was arrested for impaired operation. The individual was provided two breath samples, each registering 150 mg of alcohol in 100 mL of blood.
The individual was charged with the following:
• Operation While Impaired- Alcohol and Drugs
• Operation with Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters. He was released with a scheduled future court date of June 16, 2025.
Warrants – CK25031797
Date: June 1, 2025, Time: 0255, Location: 24 Third street, Chatham
On June 30, 2024, the Chatham-Kent Police Service investigated a neighbour dispute that resulted in two vehicles being damaged with a baseball bat (RM25001938). The suspect, a 22-year-old male from Chatham fled the scene before police arrived and charges of Mischief Under $5000 were laid. A warrant was also issued for the suspect’s arrest.
On September 02, 2024, the individual was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police in connection with the same investigation and released with a future court date. The accused failed to attend court on multiple occasions, with the most recent absence on May 26, 2025. As a result, another warrant was issued.
On June 1, 2025, at approximately 0255 hrs, the suspect turned himself in at police headquarters. He was arrested o the strength of an unendorsed warrant for failing to attend court.
