Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for May 27, 2025
The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Arrest/Warrants- CK25030622
Date: May 27, 2025, Time: 10:35hrs., Location: Chatham
On May 6, at approximately 9:22 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft and fraud involving a stolen wallet from a parked vehicle (RM25001586).
The victim, a 29-year-old male from Chatham, later discovered several unauthorized transactions on his financial accounts. The investigation revealed the stolen cards had been used to make various purchases at local businesses.
Through further investigation, officers identified a suspect, a 48-year-old male from Chatham-Kent and laid multiple charges, including:
•Fraud Under $5,000 x2
•Fraudulent use of a Credit Card X2
•Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
A warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.
On May 27, 2025, at approximately 10:35 hrs, officers conducted a person stop and located the suspect who was wanted on an outstanding warrant related to the prior incident (RM25001586). The accused was arrested and transported to South West Detention Centre (SWDC) where he will remain in custody until his next court appearance scheduled for May 30, 2025.

Date: May 27, 2025, Time: 19:49hrs, Location: Wallaceburg
On May 27, 2025, at approximately 19:49hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers determined that a physical altercation had occurred involving a 44-year-old female from Wallaceburg who had been assaulted. The victim was assessed by paramedics but declined further medical attention.
A 41-year-old male from Chatham-Kent was arrested and charged with assault. He was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of July 7, 2025.
