The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Key Incidents:
Arrest, Warrants – CK25029293
Date: May 20, 2025, Time: 16:52hrs., Location: Keil Drive South, Chatham
On December 25, 2024, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of physical assault involving a 34-year-old male from Chatham-Kent.
The suspect assaulted two individuals, neither of whom required medical attention (CK25029293). He was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, released with conditions, and given future court date of January 27, 2025. However, he failed to appear in court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On May 20, 2025, at approximately 16:52 hrs., officers observed a male matching the suspect’s description walking along train tracks in the area of Keil Drive, Chatham. Upon noticing the police, the individual fled on foot and attempted to hide in a nearby bush area. Officers quickly located and arrested him. The suspect is wanted for two counts of assault and multiple failures to attend court.
Due to the number of outstanding charges and prior court-related convictions, the individual was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he is currently being held for bail.

Date: May 20, 2025, Time: 16:52hrs., Location: Warwick Drive, Wallaceburg
On March 19, 2025, at approximately 10:57 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to two incidents of property damage at a commercial building in Wallaceburg. A suspect broke a glass firehose door and later shattered a window using a garbage can. Police reviewed video footage, identified the individual as a 50-year-old male from Wallaceburg, and made an arrest. The suspect was charged with two counts of Destroying or Damaging Property (CK25015913). The individual was released with bail conditions, including not to attend within 100 metres of the location in Wallaceburg. Additionally, he was given a curfew between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., with specific exceptions for medical emergencies involving immediate family members.
On May 20, 2025, at approximately 16:52 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a call for a welfare check of an individual displaying concerning behaviour in a public area. Upon arrival, police located the same individual, identified in the prior incident (CK25015913). The individual was found to be in breach of his court-ordered release conditions.
The male was placed under arrest for failing to comply with the conditions of his release order. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.
