Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 173 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 4 people were arrested.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK2401832
At approximately 12:52 p.m., police attended the area of St. Clair St, in Chatham with regards to another matter and located a man with an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 44-year-old Chatham Man was subsequently arrested and released with a future court date.
Break and Enter in Wallaceburg CK24021838
At approximately 1:39 p.m., police received a complaint of a break and enter in the area of Lisgar St, in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, it was learned that over night on May 14th 2024, an unknown person had broken into a detached garage and stolen tools.

Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24021915
At 10:05 p.m., a man attended police headquarters to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 37-year-old Chatham man was subsequently arrested and released with a future court date.

Police Week is finally here! This year’s theme is “Join Policing: Keep Ontario Safe”. During this week, we will be highlighting various members from our Chatham-Kent Police Family and sharing the important roles they play in keeping our community safe. Additionally, on Friday May 17th 2024 we will be hosting an event for the public at St. Clair College, Thames Campus, in Parking lot B.
This event will run from 12:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. and will give the public a chance to explore a career in policing by meeting police officers and police professionals as well as a chance to observe various displays of police equipment.
