CK25027714 – IPV Assault
Date: May 13, 2025. Time: 16:00 hrs- 17:20 hrs., Location: William Street S., Chatham
Details:
On Tuesday, May 13, 25, at approximately 17:20 hrs Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault in Chatham.
A 31-year-old female from Chatham and a 29-year-old male from Stoney Plain, Alberta, became involved in a verbal argument related to a past relationship. During the incident, the female physically assaulted the male.
The altercation reportedly began after the parties returned from a local restaurant and continued while driving back to the residence. The assault occurred inside of the vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with both individuals. The male provided a statement outlining the events. The female was arrested and charged with one count of assault.
She was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date June 23, 2025.

Details:
On January 3, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a theft report involving a stolen package from a porch on King Street West in Chatham
Surveillance footage and a suspect description led officers to an individual carrying a package that did not match the provided name in the investigation.
The suspect, a 34-year-old male from Wallaceburg was arrested for theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. He was released with conditions and a future court date of March 17, 2025. When he failed to appear in court, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On May 14, 2025, at approximately 20:39hr., members of the Ontario Provincial Police located the accused who was wanted on an unendorsed warrant for failing to attend court and failing to comply with probation conditions. He was arrested and turned over to the Chatham-Kent Police Service where he is being held for bail.
As a result, he was released by the Court with a new court appearance scheduled for June 5, 2025
