Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 138 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Motor vehicle vs Pedestrian Grand Ave and Sandys St., Chatham. CK24021161
A pickup truck was on Sandys Street in Chatham. A pedestrian ran across the road and was struck by the truck. A 40 year old woman was taken to Public General with non-life threatening injuries. No charges were laid as it was found the pedestrian to be at fault for crossing improperly.
Wanted party located with assistance of Drone Adelaide Street Shrewsbury CK24021198
A man known to be wanted was observed on a bicycle on Adelaide Street Shrewsbury. The man momentarily ran to an address and then fled on foot into a wooded and swampy area. The area was searched, and a perimeter set up. The man was located with the assistance of Chatham-Kent Police DRONE. The male was taken into custody and transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and held for bail. The man has 5 warrants with Chatham-Kent Police along with several others with the OPP.
Break and enter St Clair Street Chatham CK24021251
A man broke the front window of a local business on St Clair street Chatham and stole several items. Video of the entry was obtained, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
Break and enter Sheldon Avenue, Chatham CK24021178/ CK24021213
Two sheds were entered on Sheldon Ave Chatham at different times of the day. The suspect removed different power tools and yard tools. Sometime between 10:30hrs & 15:00hrs this date unknown suspect(s) entered a garage on the property removing $700.00 in tools. A 20V Craftsman Chainsaw being one of those items. No video available.
