Date: March 11, 2025, Time: 19:28 hrs., Location: Chatham
Details:
On March 11, 2025, at approximately 19:28 hrs., a 50-year-old male from Chatham, was arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service in connection with Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
The accused in this occurrence was charged with the following:
Count 1: Criminal Harassment CCC 264 (2)(a) – Repeatedly follow from place to place.
Count 2: Criminal Harassment CCC 264 (2)(c) – watching the dwelling house, work, or any place the other person happens to be
He was released with conditions and was given a future court date of April 14, 2025.

CKPS uses Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) Tool for Enhancing Road Safety
The LiDAR system uses advanced laser technology to precisely measure vehicle speeds and accurately detect traffic violations in real-time. This tool offers improved accuracy over traditional radar-based speed detection devices, ensuring that the Chatham-Kent Police Service can more effectively enforce traffic laws and improve public safety.
