Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for June 6-8, 2025The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 72 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Key Incidents:
Arrest/Impaired – CK25032715
Date: June 6, 2025, Time: 19:34hrs. Location: Queen Street North, Tilbury
On June 6, 2025, at approximately 19:34 hrs the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver in the Tilbury area. A complainant contacted police after a vehicle left the road and drove onto private property.
Officers located the driver, a 30-year-old female from Tilbury and an investigation was conducted, which resulted in an arrest for impaired operation. Two breath samples obtained, both well above the legal limit.
The individual was charged with the following:
•Operation while Impaired- Alcohol and Drugs
•Operation while Impaired- Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus).
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and was released with a scheduled future court date of July 7, 2025.
Arrest/Bail Violations – CK25032889
Date: June 7, 2025, Time: 09:05hrs. Location: Dresden
On June 7, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service were contacted by a community support agency regarding a 52-year-old male from Dresden who left his residence without authorization. The individual was under conditions of conditional sentence order, which included GPS monitoring and a requirement to remain at home except for specific approved times and purposes.
He was reported to be outside of his approved location during non-permitted hours and without prior written approval from his supervisor, as required by the terms of his release.
The individual has an extensive record involving numerous offences, including theft under $5000, Break and Enter, Trespassing, Possession of a Schedule substance II substance (Cannabis) and multiple counts of failing to comply with court-ordered conditions.
Police attended his residence, where the individual admitted to breaching his conditions. He was taken into custody and transported to the South West Detention Centre, where he remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
Arrest/Mischief/Theft – CK25033224
Date: June 8, 2025, Time: 17:33hrs. Location: St. Clair Street, Chatham
On June 8, 2025, at approximately 17:33hrs., Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a theft in the Chatham area.
A male suspect, a 29-year-old male from Chatham, attempted to steal a bicycle from a local business, but the attempt was prevented by a complainant. The suspect fled on foot and was later located by the police behind another local business, where he was found spray painting a wall.
As a result of the investigation which was conducted, the individual was arrested and charged with the following:
•Theft Under $5,000
•Mischief Under $5,000
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released with a scheduled future court date of July 14, 2025.
