Intimate Partner Violence – CK25038142

Date: June 30, 2025, Time: 21:46hrs., Location: Richardson Avenue, Tilbury

On June 30, 2025, at approximately 21:46hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance on Richardson Avenue, Tilbury.

Upon arrival, officers were greeted by a man and woman, both of whom appeared calm and confirmed that a verbal argument had taken place. The investigation revealed that during the altercation; the female slapped the male.

The 22-year-old Tilbury woman was arrested for assault and was informed of her rights. She was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court appearance.

Assault/Threats – CK25038269

Date: July 1, 2025, Time: 12:30hrs., Location: King Street W, Chatham

On July 1, 2025, at approximately 12:30hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance at a retail store on King St W, Chatham.

Upon arrival, officers found the complainant visibly upset. She reported that she had been spat on by the accused.

Through initial statements and corroborated audio evidence, it was established that the accused spat at the complainant after being refused service due to insufficient funds.

Additionally, during the altercation, the accused allegedly threatened the complainant, stating. This threat was confirmed by a witness present at the scene.

The 40-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was located and arrested. She was transported to Chatham Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she is currently being held for a bail hearing. She has been charged with assault and uttering threats.

Impaired Driving- CK25038285

Date: July 1, 2025, Time: 13:38hrs., Location: Bear Line Road, Dover Township

On July 1, 2025, at approximately 13:38hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and come to rest in a ditch on Bear Line, Dover Township.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with an off-duty officer who suspected that the driver was impaired. The responding officer conducted further assessments and confirmed the suspicion and arrested the driver for impaired driving. She was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

The 54-year-old woman Chatham woman was charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. She was released with conditions and a future court date of July 14, 2025.

Impaired Driving- CK25038299

Date: July 1, 2025, Time: 15:08hrs., Location: Scane Road, Howard Township

On July 30, 2025, at approximately 15:08hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service received a report regarding suspected impaired driving on Scane Road in Howard Township. Shortly after, the individual was observed by the responding officer on O’Neil Line, where a traffic stop was initiated. 

The driver failed to stop when directed and continued into a nearby cemetery, where police deployed stop sticks and surrounded the vehicle. The individual refused to exit the vehicle, unlock the doors, or roll down the windows, while officers observed her smoking suspected marijuana inside the vehicle.

Officers breached the vehicle window, at which point the vehicle was turned off, and the driver was determined to be impaired.

The 71-year-old Blenheim woman was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for breath tests. She was charged with impaired driving, having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and flight from police. She was released with conditions and a future court date.
