Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for June 2, 2025The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Mischief- CK25032062
Date: June 3, 2025, Time: 11:54 hrs., Location: King Street West, Chatham
On June 3, 2025, at approximately 11:54 hrs. the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a call regarding ongoing disturbances at a downtown financial institution in Chatham.
Officers arrived to find a 51-year-old male from Chatham-Kent damaging municipal landscaping in front of the property. Debris from the damaged area was scattered across the adjacent public sidewalk, creating a safety hazard for pedestrians.
Further investigation revealed the accused had also disturbed public infrastructure by removing material from along the walkway.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the accused had been involved in a series of previous unwanted incidents at the same location on May 30, 2025. His ongoing presence raised safety and security concerns for both customers and employees.
Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged with the following:
• Count 1: Mischief Under $5,000
• Count 2: Mischief – Interfere with lawful operation of property
The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.

Date: June 3, 2025, Time: 00:09 hrs, Location: Chatham
On June 3, 2025, at approximately 00:09hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an unlawful entry related to intimate partner violence at a residence in Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a 37-year-old male from Chatham had reportedly forced entry into a home and a caused damage to the door.
The suspect, who had been in a relationship with the resident, broke down the door and entered unlawfully.
Officers located the suspect shortly after in a nearby parking lot and he was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with the following:
• Count 1 – Being Unlawfully in Dwelling-House
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters. He was later released with conditions and given a future court date of July 7, 2025.
