The Chatham-Kent Police Service has arrested a 31-year-old Chatham-Kent woman following her failure to appear in court on June 10, 2025. A warrant was issued for her arrest after she missed the court date related to several investigations, including theft and break and enter incidents.
On June 25, 2025, she was located on James Street, Wallaceburg and taken into custody based on the outstanding warrants. The accused is currently facing multiple charges, including two counts of theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property, break and enter, and two counts of failing to attend court. She was transported to police headquarters and is being held pending a bail hearing.

On May 30, 2025, at approximately 2:17hrs, police conducted a stop and found a male sleeping in the vestibule of an apartment building on King Street West, Chatham. He was previously released by the court on May 12, 2025, which required him to remain at his residence and adhere to a curfew from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Since he was found sleeping in a public area, he was in violation of his release conditions, specifically charged with failing to comply with a release order under Section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code. Efforts to locate him had been unsuccessful, as he had vacated his previous address.
On June 26, 2025, at 17:33hrs, the 31-year-old Chatham-Kent man was located by CN Police at the intersection of Princess Street and Colborne Street, Chatham. He was arrested on the outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his release conditions and transported to police headquarters, where he is being held pending a bail hearing.

On May 22, 2025, a contractor arrived at the unoccupied home on Northland Drive, Chatham and observed a man inside. Upon confrontation, the man fled the scene with concealed items, riding away on a bicycle. The complainant followed him toward McNaughton Avenue.
When police arrived, they found the man attempting to hide behind a residence on McNaughton Avenue West. He was detained after officers noticed large items concealed in his coat. A search revealed several items, believed to be stolen. Further investigation revealed that a window at the home had been smashed, and the victim confirmed it was intact the previous night. Additionally, the man was bound by a probation order, which included conditions to keep the peace.
The 27-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and held for bail on multiple charges, including breaking and entering, possession of property obtained by crime, mischief under $5,000, and failure to comply with a probation order. He was released by the court with a future court date and conditions.
On June 12, 2025, a warrant was issued for this arrest when he failed to attend for a scheduled court appearance.
On June 26, 2025, police located the man on Fifth Street, Chatham and arrested him. He was transported to police headquarters, where he is being held pending a bail hearing.
