Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for June 17, 2025. The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Key Incidents:
Warrants/Robbery – CK25035070/ CK25034862
Date: June 17, 2025, Time: 12:44 hrs., Location: Blenheim
On June 16, 2025, at approximately 18:14 hrs the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a reported robbery at a local business in Chatham (CK25034862).
A 22-year-old male employee from Chatham, was approached by a 36-year-old male from Chatham-Kent who sprayed him with a noxious substance. The victim was able to retreat to a secure area in the store while the suspect accessed the cash register and removed cash. No other items in the store were stolen. The victim sought medical attention for exposure to the spray.
Through investigation, officers identified the suspect using surveillance footage.
On June 17, 2025, at approximately 12:44 hrs, officers located and arrested the suspect in connection to the mentioned robbery.
The individual has been charged with the following:
Count 1 – Robbery with Violence
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently being held for bail.
B+E/Assault – CK25035182
Date: June 17, 2025, Time: 22:44 hrs., Location: Chatham
On June 17, 2025, at approximately 22:44 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a call regarding a disturbance related to a fire in the driveway of a residence.
Through investigation, it was revealed that a 33-year-old male from Chatham-Kent, entered the residence without permission, confronted a 36-year-old female from Chatham and made threatening remarks. He then assaulted two other individuals with a weapon, striking one of the victims several times.
Further investigations by police confirmed that the accused was bound by a probation order with conditions, including the prohibition of possessing weapons. These conditions were breached during the incident.
On June 18, 2025, the accused was located and arrested in Chatham. Through further investigation, police gathered grounds for numerous Criminal code charges which includes the following:
- Count #1: Breaking and entering with intent to commit indictable offence
- Count #2: Uttering threats to cause death
- Count #3: Assault with a weapon
- Count #4: Assault with a weapon
- Count #5: Failure to comply with probation order
- Count #6: Failure to comply with probation order
The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently being held for bail.
