Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for June 13-15, 2025. The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 72 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Key Incidents:
Obstruct/Assault PO – CK25034174
Date: June 13, 2025, Time: 07:50 hrs., Location: Queen Street, Chatham
On June 13, 2025, at approximately 07:51 hr while the Chatham-Kent Police were attending to an arrest incident, a bystander, a 28-year-old male from Chatham began interfering with police efforts. The individual shouted at officers while they were arresting another person.
Despite being cautioned not to interfere, the individual threw an object at one of the officers, striking the officer in the arm. The suspect then fled on foot but was quickly located and arrested.
The officer sustained minor injuries, and medical attention was not required.
The individual was charged with the following:
- Obstructing a Peace Officer
- Assaulting a Peace Officer with a weapon
He was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date for July 22, 2025.

Date: June 14, 2025, Time: 07:52 hrs., Location: Woods St, Chatham
On June 14, 2025, at approximately 07:52 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a possible break and enter involving a person unlawfully occupying a trailer. Upon arrival, officers located a 46-year-old male from Chatham who identified himself with a name that was determined to be false.
Further investigation revealed that the male had permission to be at the property and possessed a key. However, the individual continued to provide false information to officers despite being cautioned.
Officers confirmed the individual’s identity through investigations and discovered that he was wanted on outstanding, unendorsed warrants related to weapons offences and failing to attend court.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of obstructing police for providing a false name on two separate occasions to police.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where; he is currently being held for bail.

Date: June 15, 2025, Time: 09:34 hrs., Location: Chatham
On June 15, 2025, at approximately 09:34 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance involving a property dispute between a 63-year-old male from Chatham and a 50-year-old female also from Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers located the male with a visible injury above his eye. He stated that he was assaulted during a confrontation with the female related to a property dispute. The male also reported that the accused, became hostile and struck him in the face. Medical assistance was not needed; however, he sought assistance at a nearby residence after the incident occurred.
Officers located the accused at the scene and arrested the individual for assault. She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters.
She was released with a scheduled future court date for July 24, 2025.
