Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 194 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested.
Assault King street West and Fourth Chatham CK24031467
Three 20 year old men had left a local establishment shortly after midnight and were walking on King Street Chatham. In the area of King and Fourth a second group of unknown men confronted the pedestrians, and a fight took place. The groups did not know each other. After the disturbance finished an Officer who was patrolling the area was approached and advised of the assault. Several officers responded to the area and were not able to locate the suspects. One male was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
This investigation is currently under investigation.

Fail to remain collision Park Ave. and Queen St. Chatham CK24031477
Around 2:00 am a vehicle left the roadway at Park ave and Queen Street Chatham and struck a traffic light pole knocking it to the ground. The vehicle suffered severe damage but was able to leave the scene before Police arrived.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle -ALPR Patteson Ave. Chatham CK24031400
While travelling to an unrelated call, police were alerted to a stolen vehicle on ALPR (Automated License Plate Recognition) system. The vehicle was stopped, and a 37-Year-old Chatham man was placed under arrest. The vehicle was returned to the registered owner. The 37-year-old man was charged with driving while under suspension under the Highway Traffic Act. The stolen vehicle is still under investigation.
Break and Enter Victoria Ave Chatham CK24031305
Sometime after 5pm, July 4th, unknown suspects entered a residence on Victoria Ave Chatham. Several items of value were taken from the home.

Break and Enter Walnut street Dresden CK24031319
Unknown suspects entered a home on Walnut Street Dresden between July 4th and July 5th in the early morning hours. The suspects left by the rear door and fled the scene. Several items were taken from the home.

Break and enter Grand Ave, East Chatham CK24031348
Unknown suspects smashed the side door of a local business. They entered and removed various tools, xbox and VR head set. The area was canvassed by Police with negative results.
